“ Don’t miss this local treasure! By far one of the best and most unique bar/hang outs in the city! They have an amazing selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic whimsical beverages that are a must try for your visit, especially the soother! Beyond their drinks they have a tasty selection of small bites and shares, but the beef tartare is a MUST it is by far the best in Winnipeg you could eat it by the spoonful, and their bao buns are a melody of flavour with a new type to try almost every time I visit! Whether you’re on a date, a night out with friends or have family visiting, the roost is the perfect spot! The staff is very considerate and friendly, and their patio the best way to experience the corydon area, but don’t miss an experience here in the winter either, just as magical! “ This is a must! I can’t say I’ve been to a better place yet here in the city. It was one of the coldest nights of the year, yet the tiny little Roost was warm and comforting. It’s not just the atmosphere that steals the show. The warm and friendly staff, the warm candle light, the fun cocktails, the amazing food. (The warm olives are to die for). I didn’t take any photos because I was so in the moment! Because every thing is done fresh and local, they easily accommodated dietary restrictions and even made some suggestions so the choices were limitless. Be sure to make a reservation. You might get lucky with a walk in but because it’s so tiny, the odds are not in your favour. And be sure to not over stay your welcome. With the seating in high demand, it’s nice to give more folks the chance to have their own amazing experience. I can’t wait to go back when the patio is open and explore it all again!! ”

Trust the staff to know how to compliment the tastes you're ordering accordingly and make you feel almost like a family member. If I could be here every week, I would. “ I was really curious about The Roost after seeing it listed as #39 in "Canada's 50 Best Bars." So, while visiting MB,Canada, I knew I had to Check It Out. Luckily, we found a vacant parking spot almost directly across from The Roost’s entrance, like it was waiting just for us—haha. The warm welcome continued inside, where the server and bartender smiled at every guest as they passed by, adding to the friendly vibe. We decided to go just before sunset to really experience the chill atmosphere. The timing was perfect, with the cozy patio and evening vibe setting the mood. The drinks were amazing! Even though we didn’t try any cocktails, the mocktails we had—Pink Moon and Ginger Rogers—were extremely good. They had a homemade, creative twist that made them stand out. And the prices were reasonable—less than 10 CAD each for the mocktails. For food, we tried the pork buns and the market veggies (a delicious potato salad). Note that there are vegan-friendly (VF) options. We came to The Roost just to relax and soak in the ambiance, and it didn’t disappoint. Even with the chill in the air, the patio was a great spot to unwind before winter fully set in. ”
“ Super cute vibe with super cute staff. We sat at the bar and had the best service by the sweet owner Elsa. Absolutely adorable, and she made some of the best cocktails we’ve ever experienced. We devoured 4 of the dishes on the menu and couldn’t even describe how perfectly curated they were. It was a beautiful experience seeing such a positive work environment with people who genuinely enjoyed each others company and how warm and welcoming they are to every person that came through the door. If you have yet to check out the Roost in Winnipeg it is a must stop! ”

Outdoor space extremely cozy and vibrant, small but that's even good, no crowds in here.Not sure if opened yet this season, Waiting to enjoy time with a friends. The only issue we had is an abscess of possibly to book a table in advance and at the same time most probably you will need to wait for a table. ”
